Biographical sketch

Dr. Sanghoon Park was born March 16, 1974 in Seoul , Korea and graduated from high school in 1992. Served in the army of Korea from 1994 to 1995. He has earned his doctorate from the Florida State University in Instructional Systems program in December 2005, with an emphasis in Instructional Design and Interactive Technologies including on-line distance learning. His research interest is in integrating technology tools to promote a dynamic learning process. He considers that learning is a complex process influenced by the interaction among a learner's emotional state, cognitive structure, and motivation. In order to ensure the high quality of learning outcome, the interaction among these three factors needs to be holistically considered. Therefore, his research focus is on how to integrate various learning technologies into classrooms and on-line distance learning environments with the ultimate goal of building an optimized instructional design model depicting the relationship among emotion, cognition, and motivation.
